Battery Manufacturing Manager
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of battery manufacturing engineers, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure team success and development.
- Process Development: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for battery production, ensuring they meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, increase yield, reduce costs, and improve overall production efficiency.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the specification, procurement, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment for battery production, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality team to develop and enforce quality control measures and standards for battery manufacturing.
- Problem-Solving: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment, employing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis to monitor production performance, identify trends, and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, maintenance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Training and Development: Train and develop production staff on new processes, equipment operation, and best practices in battery manufacturing.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in battery manufacturing, chemical engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing process design, equipment specification, and quality control in battery production. Extensive knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
