Worker's Compensation File Clerk

Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Workers' Compensation File Clerk in our Orange County office, CA. This job is responsible for opening and closing files, creating case demographics to be uploaded into in- house system, managing case from begging to end of.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to sort incoming mail by identifying, indexing and filing documents under their respective client and matter numbers
• Ability to scan, save and organize documents to the firm’s Document Management System
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of legal documents and terminology as it relates to Workers’ Compensation
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with firm policies
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:

• Regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in English
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Regularly required to observe and assess data and documents, in printed form and on computer screens
• May be requested to work beyond normal work hours and weekends for special projects
• Works well in a team environment
• Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
• Ability to recognize the need for confidentiality of information and to maintain such confidences
• Ability to respond to internal or external inquiries, including those of a sensitive, confidential, or adversarial nature

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $24.00/hour. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
