Journeyman Mechanic
Role description:
The Mechanic Journeyman is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.
Compensation and Schedule:
The starting pay rate for this role is $39.67 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities:
Maintain plant equipment including material handling equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and production equipment
Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance responsibilities on equipment
Comply with all company maintenance programs and practices
Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
Complete preventive maintenance requirements
Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems
Minimum skills / qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card
Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems such as electrical, gas, air, and water systems
Must be able to stand for 8 hours
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience
