This is a high visibility role reporting toExecution Model: High-Agency Founding TeamsStructure: We operate as a collective of in-house technical founders—not just specialized engineers. Initiatives are run by lean, autonomous squads built for velocity and maximum technical leverage. This model is centered around an Engineer DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) who maintains total ownership over the initiative's technical, product, and launch success, supported by fractional PM and Design resources.Cadence: We enforce rapid iteration and rapid market validation via 3-week sprints per initiative. This cadence forces fast deployment, immediate user feedback, and tight alignment with the internal betting table process, mirroring the intensity and speed of a lean startup.Required skills and experience4+ years of professional software engineering experienceTechnical company founding entrepreneurial or high visibility side projects experience preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of the full agentic software development stack, helping coding agents build, test and review correct code.Strong track record leading complex projects with cross-functional stakeholdersExperience building and operating platform systems that other teams depend onStrong product judgment: you can balance UX, speed, correctness, and long-term maintainabilityComfort working in modern web stacks such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgresExample Projects You’ll Work OnHelping Replit Agent build viable alternatives to the world’s most popular SaaS vendors (Data, Decks, Videos, etc)Replit Agent becoming a full principal within a large number of third party services (read and write)You can use Replit fully within a wide range of chat, agentic and commerce environmentsThis is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
