Director of Client Services #0405FM
A growing regional company is looking for a Director of Client Services to lead client relationships, account performance, onboarding, and long-term retention. This role is responsible for ensuring clients receive responsive communication, consistent service delivery, and a strong overall experience after the initial sale.
The right candidate will be a relationship-focused leader who can manage client-facing teams, work closely with operations, identify account growth opportunities, and ensure that client expectations are clearly understood and consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the client services function and ensure a high standard of account support
- Manage and develop client service managers, account managers, or support team members
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key client relationships and escalations
- Oversee client onboarding, account transitions, renewals, and service reviews
- Partner with operations to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional services or improved solutions
- Monitor client satisfaction, retention, issue resolution, and account performance
- Establish processes for communication, reporting, follow-up, and client documentation
- Support proposal renewals, pricing updates, and contract discussions as needed
- Provide leadership with regular updates on client health, risks, and growth opportunities
Requirements
Essential
- 7 or more years of experience in client services, account management, customer success, or operations support
- 3 or more years of experience leading client-facing teams
- Experience supporting B2B clients in a service-based environment
- Strong communication, relationship management, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage escalations and maintain professionalism with senior-level client contacts
- Comfortable using CRM tools, account plans, service reports, and client performance data
- Strong ability to partner with sales, operations, finance, and executive leadership
- Proven track record of improving client retention and satisfaction
Preferred
- Experience managing key accounts or strategic client relationships
- Background in commercial services, staffing, logistics, facilities, or professional services
- Experience with renewals, account expansion, or contract management
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field
Benefits
$125,000 to $165,000 base annually, plus bonus potential
