CNC / Conventional Machinist
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC / Conventional Machinist to support precision machining operations in a fast paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating manual and CNC equipment to produce high quality components while maintaining tight tolerances and meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Operate conventional mills and lathes including manual machining equipment
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and basic adjustments
Machine aluminum, stainless steel, and other aerospace grade materials
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
Perform in process inspections and document results as required
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures
Support production goals and communicate issues to supervisors
Qualifications
2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience operating conventional/manual machining equipment required
Basic CNC exposure preferred
Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
Familiarity with tight tolerance aerospace or precision parts preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
