Banquet Server

Estimate Pay Range: $22.50 Hrly Primary Objective:
Provide food and beverage service to event customers in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with the standards and policies of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel. Areas of Accountability:
- Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing excellent Service and teamwork.
- Provides value added service to the customers by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisor.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
- Handles difficult situations effectively meets Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel service standards.
- Ensures proper set-up of all tables for assigned station.
- Sets up table in accordance with Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel’s standards.
- Inspects linen, silver, china, and all other table linen.
- Serves food, coffee, water and other beverages to customers, refills beverages as needed.
- Receives customer’s orders for any food or beverage that varies from the set menu.
- Refers complaints on food or service to Banquet Manager.
- Cooperates closely with other servers to ensure that prompt service is given at all times.
- Cleans banquet room and banquet kitchen area during and after banquet functions.
- Sets up function rooms according to event orders and directions from supervisor.
- Maintains general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas.
- Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms.
- Removes debris from public areas.
- Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following conclusion of banquet.
- Maintains properly all Banquet Department equipment, storage and work areas.
- Reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement to supervisor or Engineering Department in a timely manner.
- Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
- Gifts from guests such as products or alcoholic beverages need to be cleared by the manager and any items “check out” form is to be completed and signed by the manager.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Attends work as scheduled.
- Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
- Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel to the public.

- Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 60lbs constantly
- Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
