Job Title: Senior Visual Designer

Location: Glendale, CA 91201 (Local Needed)

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Job Type: Contract (12+ months)

Rate: $55/hour on w2

MUST HAVES:

1. Portfolios need to show:
   • (must haves) Presentation design, websites, interaction design, graphic design
   • (strongly preferred) Data visualization design (dashboards, infographics, interactive data storytelling), motion design and micro-interactions (after effects or similar tools), video editing, etc.
   • (nice to have): Workshop facilitations, content design, 3D or experiential design (cinema 4d, etc.).
2. Proven experience in visual and UI/UX design across digital platforms (websites, applications, interaction design).
3. Strong skills in graphic and brand design, with the ability to maintain and evolve brand systems.
4. Experience in data visualization, turning complex information into clear and engaging visuals (presentation, data dashboards, interfaces).
5. Proficiency in motion design, including animations, micro-interactions, and visual storytelling.
6. Ability to work cross-discipline and adapt to a variety of design needs.
7. Skilled in collaboration, communication, and design handoff with cross-functional teams.

If a candidate doesn't hit all the must-haves, I don't want to see any of the following work:
social media shareables and marketing campaign ads
pure illustration work
print-only collateral
photo editing/retouching as a primary responsibility
basic production-only tasks

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Presentation-Focused Visual Designer, someone with strong visual storytelling skills who can craft compelling, branded presentation materials (not just websites or products). Needs to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, internal "agency-style" role supporting teams within Studio Tech Able to explain the why behind their design decisions. Strong at data storytelling, content strategy, and translating complex ideas into clear visuals.

Experience :

• At least 2 years with large, consumer-facing brands (media/entertainment preferred)
• Able to work within brand guidelines but adapt creatively

Key Tools :

• Figma , Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• PowerPoint & Keynote
• Motion design and After Effects are huge pluses

Portfolio Must Show :

• Case studies showing full design thinking process (not just final images).
• Branding, presentation design, and UI work-not product/UX portfolios.

Strategic Thinker with Design Chops :

• Able to explain the why behind their design decisions
• Strong at data storytelling, content strategy, and translating complex ideas into clear visuals.
