About the Team

The Sora team is building large-scale ML capabilities from the ground up. We work at the intersection of research and infrastructure, designing and deploying the systems and algorithms that power high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. Our work bridges research ideas and production-grade systems in close collaboration with infrastructure, applied ML, and product teams.

About the Role

As a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize the systems that enable large-scale machine learning workflows. You’ll work across teams to ensure robust, reliable, and performant infrastructure that supports rapid experimentation and high-quality deployments. We’re looking for people who thrive at the intersection of engineering and ML, and who can operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA . We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

• Design and maintain distributed systems for large-scale training and inference.

• Build infrastructure to support low-latency, high-throughput pipelines.

• Collaborate with applied teams to integrate and scale new capabilities in production.

• Have built or re-architected complex infrastructure systems from the ground up.

• Have expertise in distributed systems, performance optimization, and reliability.

• Are comfortable working closely with ML engineers and researchers to deploy models at scale.
