Job Description and Duties

A flexible work schedule, including telework, is available. We are located in the Natomas area near the Natomas Marketplace, the Promenade, and many other shopping and dining establishments. Less than ten minutes from Downtown Sacramento, we also offer free parking and are special funded!
Employment information on the STD 678 MUST be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors. Failure to submit a completed STD 678 may result in you being screened out. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview.

Working Conditions
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data, and make sound decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to work independently, complete tasks, follow directions thoroughly, and deliver quality work products.
• Research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the state civil service laws, rules, regulations.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Excellent writing skills; ability to prepare comprehensive reports, summaries, presentations, correspondence, and other written documents.
• Ability to be diplomatic, service-oriented, and collaborate well with peers, colleagues, managers, staff and the public.
• Effective time management skills; ability to be flexible and organize day-to-day priorities and long-term assignments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, and be familiar with Access.

Hand Delivery:
Application and any applicable required documents may be hand delivered by 5:00 p.m. on the final filing date as stated on the job vacancy announcement. Application packages postmarked, personally delivered, or received via interagency mail after 5:00 p.m. on the final filing date will not be accepted for any reason. Do not submit applications to the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR). Drop off location may be non-operational on weekends and holidays.
