SEC Reporting Consultant POST NUMBER: 158765

This position will play a critical role in the preparation and review of SEC filings , ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while partnering cross-functionally across accounting, finance, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and hands-on , with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment. Note: This opportunity is open to W2 candidates only — C2C arrangements will not be considered Key Responsibilities Prepare and review SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Manage the financial reporting process and supporting schedules Coordinate closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders Assist with technical accounting research and implementation Support quarter-end and year-end close activities as they relate to reporting Identify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency Required Qualifications Proven experience in SEC reporting within a publicly traded company Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation Experience preparing or reviewing 10-K and 10-Q filings Background in Big 4 or national public accounting (highly preferred) Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with technical accounting and complex transactions Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Hyperion, or similar ) Strong communication and business partnering skills CPA or equivalent certification preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
