Hone and Lap Operator Duties:

• Set up and operate Sunnen manual and power stroker hones to achieve required inside diameters per blueprints and manufacturing specifications
• Lap and fit precision parts (sleeves, slides, bushings) to exact size, roundness, and surface finish using lapping and ball-lapping techniques
• Use and maintain precision measuring tools such as air gages, Sunnen gages, mikrokators, and other calibrated equipment
• Deburr, clean, and inspect all components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and removal of honing oil and compounds
• Support SPC data collection and participate in continuous improvement activities within the Hone, Lap, and Grind team

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift
• Monday Friday, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Pay:

• $24.81 $42.60 per hour
• +$2.00/hour shift differential

Hone and Lap Operator Requirements:

• 1+ years of relevant experience (close-tolerance manual machining in aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred)
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations to assess taper, clearance, and fit, and to select appropriate tooling and finishing materials (stones, compounds)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations due to access to controlled technical data
