Legal Assistant

Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Legal Assistant supporting litigators that have a high volume of work at our Los Angeles or Orange County Office.

Job Description:
Provide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys and provide backup to other attorneys as requested. Assist with administrative tasks as it relates to the specific office and attorneys.

• Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Perform administrative duties, including proofreading and editing all materials for extreme accuracy and clarity and processing invoices.
• E-filing knowledge in preparation to file all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and motions
• Knowledge of legal documents and terminology
• Knowledge of expense reporting, billing and dictation
• Assist with calendar calls and deposition scheduling, as needed
• Assist with travel plans, as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources

Requirements/Skills

• 2-3 years of experience working in a law firm
• Experience in the practice areas of Construction and General Liability litigation is preferred!
• Exceptional organization skills.

• Teamwork oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Benefits :
This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary rate for this position is $24.00 to $38.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
