Accountant 3
This role will be involved in various aspect of our SEC reporting including the filing of our Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. The person will also be performing accounting research to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules & regulations.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks) in Workiva and assist with XBRL review process
- Prepare supporting documentation for SEC filings including tie-out
- Perform U.S. GAAP guidance research and benchmarking against industry peers and provide recommendation
- Assist in the coordination of external audit/quarterly reviews
- Monitor SOX controls to ensure compliance
- Maintain corporate reporting calendar and coordinate deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting operations, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations and Legal
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to streamline processes
- Assist Investor Relations team as needed with quarterly Investor relations material review
- Work on ad hoc projects
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- 4+ years of accounting experience (big four public accounting experience and SEC reporting experience preferred)
- CPA license or a progression toward the license is required
- Experience with Workiva preferred
- Understanding of XBRL/EDGAR filing requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams
- Good understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP, and SEC reporting regulations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex fast-paced environment with deadlines
