Job Summary
As a Host, you will provide a warm, friendly, and immediate greeting to guests at the door, as well as those calling the restaurant. If you are a proactive team player with a strong work ethic, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for hospitality, we want to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions
- Seating guests at tables and assigning them to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers
- Engaging with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Current California Food Handler’s and RBS certification required.
- Excellent customer service and people skills required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
- Prior experience with POS systems

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping to greet guests, manage reservations, and maintain the host station.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 15 pounds, such as menus, reservation books, and small cleaning supplies.
- Manual dexterity required for managing a reservation system, handling menus, and occasionally assisting with table resets.
- Ability to move efficiently in a fast-paced environment and navigate crowded dining areas.
- Work may involve exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
