Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in a dynamic apparel manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the company’s receivables process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and effective communication with customers regarding outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
As a key part of the finance department, you will collaborate closely with sales, shipping, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies, monitor aging reports, and uphold credit policies. Your work will directly contribute to healthy cash flow and the financial integrity of the organization.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Contact customers regarding pending orders.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Apply incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or customer issues.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracy and any customer requirements.
- Generate and review reports to monitor shipments and minimize held orders.
- Assist in AP responsibilities by posting invoices and generating payments
- Generate GL entries for AR transactions
- Verify month-end cash receipts for accounts and closings
- Assist in other month end closing requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent Excel and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Salary Range : $26-30 hourly
