At PayPal, Mobile Software Engineers are the architects of PayPal’s advanced applications for iOS platforms. You'll design, develop, and optimize core systems powering millions of transactions daily, delivering innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business success.

Your day-to-day:

As an iOS Software Engineer, you will:

• Design and architect complex mobile features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Architect and develop scalable mobile applications.
• Optimize app performance and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

What you need to bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in mobile app development.
• Strong Swift/Objective-C (iOS) proficiency.
• Experience in multi-threaded, asynchronous code
• Experience with animation and implementing user interface designs
• Experience in design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (Flutter, React Native).
• Understanding of Swift and Objective-C
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with mobile payment technologies and integrations.

Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

San Jose, California : ($176,500.00 - $262,350.00 Annually)
