Job Description and Duties

Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.

Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II responsibilities will include providing independent consultation to all levels of management on employee performance management and progressive discipline; reviewing, editing, and drafting various memorandums and notices related to performance; and serving as a liaison to the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) and the State Personnel Board (SPB).

This CDFA work location is near restaurants, coffee shops, and a farmer’s market. We are within walking distance to light rail/public transportation, across the street from beautiful Capitol Park, and two miles from Downtown Commons (DOCO).

Working Conditions

Duties of this position are primarily conducted indoors. The HRB has cubicle offices furnished with modular office equipment including overhead storage, filing drawers, and bins. Each staff will be assigned a laptop computer with email and various software to conduct the required duties. Regular or recurring telework may occur as part of the incumbent’s ongoing regular schedule in accordance with CDFA’s Telework Policy.

This position is located in HRB and is privileged with access to confidential information. The employee acknowledges sensitive and/or confidential information is not to be discussed, copied, or shared with unauthorized personnel outside of HRB.

Travel by State vehicle or other public transportation systems to various locations throughout the state may be required on an occasional basis.

This position may/may not be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the CDFA and based on the current telework policy. While the CDFA supports telework where possible, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
