Summary

We are seeking a Contracts and Billing Clerk to join our team at Harmony At Home. This role is crucial in managing billing processes and ensuring accurate financial records, which support our mission of empowering youth. The Contract and Billing Clerk will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Overseeing the preparation, revision, and administration of yearly contracts with school partners, community partners, County partners, local government agencies and also State and Federal agencies.
  • Billing Processes: Ensuring all billing is accurate, aligns with client contracts, and is completed in a timely manner prior to due date to review for accuracy; pulling data from various sources to accurately fill out government billing forms, communicating with program staff if specific codes and other information is needed.
  • Invoice Preparation and Management: Creating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining up to date financial records as requested.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining efficient, accurate and organized records of all contract and billing transactions. Ability to provide quick and accurate data in regard to payments and invoices if requested.
  • Customers and Stakeholder Communication: Handling customer inquiries regarding billing, resolving disputes, and coordinating with internal teams. Correspond with school partners regarding payments.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all billing and contract processes comply with company policies, and government policies & regulations.
  • Reporting: Preparing reports on billing activity and contract performance as requested.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Additional tasks assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Business Administration field
  • Required experience: minimum of 2 years experience in Medi-cal billing
  • Ability to multitask
  • Microsoft Office suite, Google Office suite, Quickbooks & Dropbox
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent analytical skills for problem solving
  • Highly organized with great time-management skills
  • Accurate 10-key abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Able to work independently and part of team
  • Experience with ECM billing is a plus

Compensation:

The Contracts & Billing Clerk position is an hourly year-round permanent position. Salary range: $28 - $33 hour.

There will be a 90 day probationary period to train on the job duties and evaluate appropriateness and effectiveness in the position.
