Senior Water Engineer
A leading water-focused engineering firm is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to step into a client-facing leadership role supporting public agency clients across Southern California. This position is ideal for a seasoned civil engineer with deep experience in water master planning, strong regional relationships, and an interest in bridging water resources and hydrogeology services.
The Role
This is a senior-level opportunity combining technical leadership, client management, and business development. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to cities and water districts while partnering closely with internal technical leaders to deliver integrated water solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow relationships with Southern California water districts and municipal agencies
- Serve as Client Service Manager for strategic water and infrastructure planning programs
- Oversee and guide water resources and utility master planning efforts
- Collaborate with hydrogeology, modeling, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Support pursuit strategy, proposals, and long-term account growth
- Mentor and support engineers and project managers
- Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on water resources
- Strong background in water / utility master planning
- Established relationships with Southern California cities and water districts
- California PE license (preferred)
- Experience managing public-sector clients and complex planning programs
- Hydrogeology experience or close collaboration with hydrogeology teams is a plus
- Strong communicator with a strategic, client-first mindset
