GDS Operations & Air Booking Management
+ Create, manage, and optimize domestic and international air reservations using Sabre, Apollo/Galileo
+ Issue, reissue, refund, void, and troubleshoot air tickets, including complex international and multi-city itineraries.
+ Perform advanced fare construction, interpret fare rules, and resolve pricing discrepancies.
+ Handle PNR management, queue processing, schedule changes, and irregular operations (IRROPS).
+ Maintain compliance with IATA, airline, and internal guidelines.
Fare Optimization & Pricing Strategy
+ Monitor fare trends, inventory management practices, and airline pricing behavior to identify cost-saving opportunities.
+ Evaluate fare filings, fare basis codes, combinability rules, surcharges, and commission structures to improve booking efficiency.
+ Provide strategic recommendations on advance purchase windows, preferred routings, and booking-class optimization.
+ Analyze booking and fare performance using available data sources and reporting tools.
Airline Contracting & Fare Negotiation
+ Participate in or lead negotiations for corporate airline agreements, route deals, private fares, and special pricing.
+ Prepare analytical insights (volume, yield, cabin-class mix) to support negotiation strategies.
+ Manage relationships with airline partners to ensure optimal access to negotiated benefits and opportunities.
+ Verify that negotiated fares are properly filed, loaded into the GDS, and adequately utilized by the agency.
Agency Branch Setup & System Maintenance
+ Set up and maintain agency branch configurations within GDS systems, including PCCs/Office IDs, duty codes, users, queues, and security settings.
+ Manage access levels, profiles, formats, scripts, and printers for multiple branches.
+ Oversee GDS configurations for workflow optimization and quality control processes.
+ Coordinate with GDS vendors for system updates, troubleshooting, and service enhancements.
+ Ensure agency locations remain compliant with GDS, ARC/BSP, and airline requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
+ Work with travel consultants, operations teams, finance, procurement, and account managers to support air program goals.
+ Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting support on GDS processes, ticketing, and fare strategies.
+ Deliver reporting on savings, airline performance, branch activity, and ticketing accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of advanced GDS experience (Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo required).
+ Strong experience in fare construction, fare optimization, ticketing, and air booking.
+ Demonstrated experience in airline fare negotiation and corporate contracting.
+ Hands-on experience with GDS branch setup, PCC/Office ID management, user configuration, and QC processes.
+ Deep knowledge of IATA, airline fare structures, NDC, and distribution practices.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ High attention to detail and ability to work with complex systems and data.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working in a TMC or corporate travel environment.
+ Familiarity with mid-office/back-office systems and quality control tools.
+ GDS Sabre/Apollo or IATA certifications.
+ Experience with travel data tools (e.g., MIDT, ARC, PRISM, Backoffice Accounting i.e. Globalware/Tres/Trams).

This is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
