This position is located in the Sacramento Headquarter office.

California’s Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Human Resources Bureau (HRB) is looking for an Office Technician (General) in our Personnel Support Services Unit. This position will process, maintain, route, file, scan, and archive HRB’s confidential files and documents. This position schedules and conducts Official Personnel File reviews and LiveScan fingerprinting services. The Personnel Support Services Unit also greets visitors and answers calls to the main HRB reception phone line. You will find additional information about the job in the duty statement.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.

Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.

Working Conditions

  • Position may be located in a high-rise building.
  • Partial Telework is available.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods of time.
  • Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
  • Must be able to move/transport files/boxes weighing up to twenty pounds (20 lbs.), with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires repetitive finger, wrist, arm, and/or shoulder movement.
