Loader Operator

Position Overview

In this role, you’ll be running various types of equipment, working on conveyors, and assisting with the production of aggregates. You’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage: $28– 32/hr. DOE w/ potential for overtime
Shift: Typically works M-F 8-10 hrs./day with weekend hours during construction season.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications
· Must pass pre-employment exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
· Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
· Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
· Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
· Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.
· Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
· Equipment operation and/or mechanical skills.
· Previous construction/aggregate or related experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
· Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters. Equipment can include but is not limited to: front end loader, excavator, backhoe, haul truck, skid steer, etc.
· Perform general clean-up, maintenance and housekeeping tasks at the production plant.
· Shovel excess materials from around conveyors and other areas to prevent build up.
· Operate equipment to supply materials to the production plant.
· Drive haul truck to transport and dump material at the site.
· Load trucks with proper materials for delivery.
· Perform general maintenance (i.e. oiling, greasing plant equipment) as directed and refer major problems to the supervisor and maintenance team.
· Keep time and material records.
· Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.
· Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
· Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
· Regular and timely attendance.
· Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
Physical Requirements

· The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment.
· The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50-75 lbs.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

· Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
