How You Will Make an Impact :
The Manufacturing Technician II performs manufacturing, assembly, testing, and verification activities for single-use technologies and related control systems within a regulated production environment. This role contributes to business performance by ensuring product quality, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and right-first-time execution across manufacturing processes. The position maintains compliance with GMP, safety, and documentation requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional production objectives.
Day In The Life:
- Perform manufacturing processes, assembly, testing, rework, and build functional verification/testing (BFV) activities following SOPs, work instructions, and production requirements.
- Build, test, program, modify, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and components including VABs, TruLogic systems, thin clients, pump towers, controllers, transmitters, cables, hoses, and Mass Flow Controller Assemblies.
- Stage systems for integration, testing, validation, teardown, and final quality inspection.
- Assemble, clean, maintain, and prepare equipment as required to support production activities.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), validation activities, and final product verification as needed.
- Execute manufacturing and testing activities in accordance with production schedules, work order requirements, and quality standards to achieve right-first-time execution.
- Complete production tasks accurately, safely, and within established timelines while minimizing errors, rework, and production delays.
- Ensure equipment and assemblies consistently meet functional, quality, and performance requirements.
- Complete travelers, production records, and related documentation accurately and in compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and data integrity requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, communicate, and support resolution of production issues, deviations, and non-conformances; escalate issues as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
- Support production planning and work order requirements, including material staging and parts issuance as needed.
- Collaborate with Planning, Integration, Validation, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering teams to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Participate in cross-training, knowledge sharing, and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support operational continuity and timely resolution of production-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or operations environment
- Experience in performing manufacturing, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or equipment-related activities.
- Experience following SOPs, work instructions and production documentation requirements.
- Experience working in a safety-focused environment with strong attention to quality and compliance.
Preferred:
- Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with single-use technologies, industrial control systems, or bioprocess equipment.
- Experience supporting validation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), quality inspections, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required:
- Understanding of GMP, safety, quality, and data integrity requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, layout drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in manufacturing, testing, and documentation activities.
- Ability to accurately complete production records, travelers, and related documentation.
- Ability to use common hand tools, electrical test equipment, and measurement devices to perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of single-use technologies, bioprocess equipment, or industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with controller and transmitter programming and configuration.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Agile, SAP, or similar manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), validation activities, and quality inspection processes.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and quality management systems.
- Understanding of Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Primarily works in a manufacturing and production environment with regular exposure to assembly, testing, and equipment-related activities.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the work shift while performing manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection activities.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in confined or difficult-to-access areas to support equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Frequent use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills to assemble, test, modify, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and components.
- Regular use of hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and measurement devices.
- Ability to work around large process systems and equipment during assembly, integration, testing, and validation activities
- Ability to lift and move materials, components, and equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 30 lbs. with appropriate assistance or lifting equipment.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms and operate scissor lifts when properly trained and certified.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels in a production environment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other PPE as required by the work area.
- Ability to work safely in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- May be required to work overtime, flexible schedules, or adjusted shifts to support production demands and business needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $26.00–$30.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
