Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and collecting specimens from patients while ensuring a high level of patient care and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology to maintain the highest standards of safety and accuracy in specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to collect blood samples from patients.
• Ensure proper identification of patients and labeling of specimens to prevent errors.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout the blood collection process.
• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after the procedure to ensure their safety.
• Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Document all procedures accurately in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and infection control protocols within the laboratory or hospital environment.
• Stay updated on laboratory procedures and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.

Experience

• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience
• State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I
• Current CPR card for Healthcare Professionals (BLS) -American Heart Association
