Chef

SPQR is located on Fillmore st in Lower Pacific Heights, we are looking for an Experienced Sous Chef/Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine ready t o lead the kitchen and work closely with the service team .

This position builds and leads the kitchen team, directs menu development/implementation and supports thru organizing, directing, and executing activities in all aspects of the kitchen and restaurant. This position is primarily focused on creating cuisine, maintaining overall quality, cleanliness and top level operation of the restaurant. This position directly supervises sous chefs responsible for day-to-day training, maintenance of standards, daily service operations, supervision of hourly staff and working closely with the restaurant manager.

Our menu focuses on the best regional, seasonal and artisan made ingredients, many of them American in origin. Job Responsibilities include:

• Management, coordination and assistance in daily preparation for all sections, expediting service, inventory management and ordering.
• Assistance in training, supervising and coaching and counseling in coordination with Management of all Company policies and HR compliance.
• Provide and demonstrate mentorship and growth for all hourly employees.
