Senior Frontend Engineer

Frontend Engineers are vital to Hive's Data and Enterprise products. Working with designers, product owners, and engineers, you will implement user interfaces that define our core platforms. We leverage technologies like React, Redux, Webpack, and ES6 to create innovative interfaces and rich user experiences. As a small, fast-moving team, you will iterate quickly and make design decisions on product features. We seek technically skilled teammates passionate about frontend tech who thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Build robust, high-performance, and scalable applications.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to develop user-focused features.
• Participate in product decisions and help set development timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and implement enhancements.
• Apply OWASP top 10 techniques to secure code from vulnerabilities.
• Stay informed about industry best practices for data handling relevant to your role.
• Follow policies and procedures to protect information assets.
• Report security or policy violations to appropriate authorities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience.
• Expertise in an object-oriented programming language.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
• Strong experience with React and Redux (or similar frameworks) and understanding of their concepts.
• Ability to create visually appealing web products with good UX sensibilities.
• Receptive to feedback and eager to improve skills.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently.
• Experience working collaboratively in teams.
• Write maintainable, testable, and scalable code.

The expected base salary ranges from $160,000 to $250,000, depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Compensation may include stock options in addition to base pay.
