Tree Service Estimator

Grover Landscape Services, a respected and family-owned company based in Modesto, CA, is seeking a Tree Service Estimator with an ISA Certified Arborist credential to join our Tree Care Division. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply arboricultural expertise in a customer-facing role, working directly with commercial and residential clients to assess tree health, scope projects, and prepare professional estimates. The successful candidate will benefit from a structured transition period, collaborating with our retiring sales arborist to ensure a smooth handoff of client relationships and account history. Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site assessments of commercial and residential properties to evaluate tree conditions and determine project scope
• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for tree pruning, removals, plant health care, and related services
• Provide expert advice to customers based on current arboricultural best practices
• Document site conditions, tree inventories, and work specifications using company software
• Follow up on open estimates to address customer questions, refine project scope, and close sales
• Coordinate with Tree Division crews to ensure project scopes are clear, achievable, and executed to company standards
• Maintain and develop relationships with property managers, HOAs, municipalities, and commercial clients
• Support the Tree Division Manager with technical assessments and complex projects as needed
• Participate in a transition period working alongside the retiring sales arborist to ensure continuity of service and client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Current ISA Certified Arborist credential
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on tree care experience (such as climbing, ground operations, or estimating)
• Working knowledge of California landscape and native tree species
• Strong customer communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to produce accurate and professional estimates
• Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and CRM/estimating software
• Valid California driver's license

Compensation

Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
