Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven Architecture .

This role requires hands-on experience building distributed systems, optimizing application performance, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and developing highly available cloud-native solutions. Candidates with previous Apple project experience (minimum 4 years) will be given strong preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud .
• Develop enterprise-grade Microservices and RESTful APIs .
• Design and implement distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Build and deploy applications on AWS Cloud using services such as:
  • EKS
  • Lambda
  • Step Functions
  • EC2
  • S3
  • API Gateway
  • IAM
  • CloudWatch
• Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka .
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes (EKS) .
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform .
• Optimize Java applications through JVM tuning, multithreading, and concurrent programming .
• Implement enterprise search capabilities using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, and Lucene .
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Gradle .
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry .
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Follow secure coding standards and software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and REST APIs .
• Experience designing and developing distributed, cloud-native enterprise applications .
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud .
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform .
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with enterprise search technologies such as OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene .
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Mandatory Requirement

• Minimum 4 years of previous Apple experience (Ex-Apple) .

Preferred Skills

• Experience building highly scalable enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of distributed system design patterns.
• Experience with cloud security best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
