About the Position
A Labor and Delivery RN provides care to mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring mother and baby during labor
- Assisting physicians during delivery procedures
- Administering medications and IVs
- Monitoring fetal heart rates and contractions
- Providing patient education and emotional support
- Handling emergency situations during childbirth
- Maintaining accurate patient records
Requirements
- Active RN License (State License or Compact License)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D experience
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Certification (preferred by some facilities)
- Experience with Epic/Cerner EMR (preferred)
