Electrical Estimator/ Sr. Estimator

Position Overview As an Electrical Estimator at Land Mark Electric, Inc., you will be responsible for providing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects. This role focuses on commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, ensuring that every bid is competitive, comprehensive, and profitable. You will work closely with clients and the project management team to translate technical drawings into actionable financial data. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities

• Project Take-offs: Review building plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to quantify material, equipment, and labor requirements.
• Cost Analysis: Calculate total project costs by evaluating material pricing, subcontractor bids, and specialized equipment (e.g., generators, UPS systems, and motor services).
• Bid Management: Prepare and present formal bid proposals, ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time via platforms like Bluebeam or specialized estimating software.
• Vendor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value and project feasibility.
• Site Inspections: Occasionally visit jobsites to assess field conditions, evaluate risks, and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work with the engineering and field leadership teams to ensure that labor productivity assumptions align with real-world site conditions.

________________________________________ Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3–7 years of electrical estimating experience in the commercial or industrial sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and California building standards.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is preferred; equivalent field experience (e.g., Journeyman or Foreman background) is highly valued.

• Skills: o Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, or similar) and Bluebeam. o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex data analysis. o Strong professional communication skills for client-facing meetings. • Background: Candidates with a "field-to-office" background are preferred to provide practical insight into labor costs and site logistics.
