Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer based in Santa Clara, CA with at least 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development. The ideal person will have hands-on experience in C/C++ , Rust and/or Golang. Coursework and/or professional experience in computer architecture and operating systems.

· Location: Mountain View, CA.

· Remote Option: Hybrid

What you’ll do (Duties and Responsibilities): 

· Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture

· Exhibit uncompromising integrity

· Pay attention to detail, understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs

· Think critically about complex technical problems

· End-to-end ownership of features/bugs

· Identify problems/risks and provide technical solutions to improve the product quality

· Follow security best practices (don’t worry, we’ll tell you what they are)

What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications)

· At least 5+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer

· Hands on experience in Rust, C/C++, or Golang

· Hands on experience working with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Mongodb etc

· Hands on experience working in Linux environment

· A PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent training or work experience

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

· Have Security experience (Crypto, Key Management, PKI)

· Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes)

· Proficient in Linux kernel (CPU scheduling, file system, network, I/O, memory management, etc.)
