Program Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Program Assistant for a full-time temporary assignment supporting community outreach programs and administrative operations throughout San Bernardino County, CA. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in social services, nonprofit programs, community outreach, or administrative support who enjoys meaningful work and direct service to the community.

The Program Assistant will help coordinate participant services, support program documentation, assist with compliance tracking, and represent the program at meetings and community events. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate program activities, participant services, workshops, presentations, and community outreach efforts.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, records, and program documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Track program resources, distributions, participant files, staff files, and other administrative records.
- Monitor program activities for compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Assist with program planning, budgets, special projects, and day-to-day administrative operations.
- Represent the program at community meetings and events throughout San Bernardino County.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment Length: Approximately 6 months.
- Schedule: Full-Time.
- Location: San Bernardino County, CA.
- Salary Range Provided: $20 to $23 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum associates degree.
- At least 2 years of administrative, program support, social services, nonprofit, or community outreach experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
- Excellent organization, customer service, follow-up, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate files and records.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and supporting community-based programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience representing programs at community meetings, outreach events, or public presentations.
- Experience training or supporting new team members.
- Passion for serving the community and supporting participant-centered programs.
