About the Role:
We are partnering with one of our clients in the West Covina area who is looking to bring on a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience processing high-volume payroll accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, multi-state payroll on a regular basis (weekly/biweekly)
• Ensure accuracy of payroll data including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
• Maintain and audit payroll records, timekeeping data, and employee information
• Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments as needed
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions
• Support payroll reporting and reconciliation, including general ledger tie-outs
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams on payroll-related processes and improvements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of high-volume payroll processing experience (required)
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
• High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
