Thrift Store Job Coach

NCI Affiliates is a mission-driven non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and physical disabilities through vocational training, community living services, and a variety of supportive programs. As a Thrift Store Job Coach, you will play a vital role in helping individuals develop valuable work skills in a supportive retail environment. Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing, individualized job coaching and instruction to adults with disabilities, supporting their vocational growth and training objectives in a retail setting.
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the thrift store, maintaining high standards of customer service and workplace safety.
• Communicate regularly with the Supported Employment Supervisor and fellow Job Coaches to coordinate support and share progress updates.
• Complete and submit required documentation accurately and on time, including attendance records, job coach notes, objective sheets, incident/accident reports, and case management paperwork.
• Monitor and execute contract requirements to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Driver’s License for at least 2 years.
• Reliable transportation to and from work; driving is required.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Flexibility to work according to company needs; schedule is four days per week, 10am–6pm.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities.

Compensation

$23 per hour
