Job Description and Duties

The Litigation Bureau is looking for a Staff Services Analyst to act as the department’s Statement of Economic Interest ("SEI") filing officer and to provide litigation support on employment law matters. The assignments will include processing and tracking various legal filings, analyzing and determining the appropriate response to legal filings, preparing workload reports, and making recommendations regarding the Litigation Bureau’s handling of cases. In this position, the incumbent will a ct in the official capacity as the Department's SEI Filing Officer and Official for the Fair Political Practices Commission, ensuring compliance with the state laws governing the disclosure of economic interest and ethics training requirements. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Fair Political Practices Commissions policies and procedures, staying updated on any changes, and complete all training and assignments promptly. Provide litigation support on Employment law matters, including analyzing legal requests for information, tracking employment law cases and calendaring hearings. Provide process improvement recommendations for various workloads of the Litigation Bureau, identifying trends and gaps in procedures and system functionality.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro as well as other Adobe products
