Software Engineer (Director)

Director is where Browserbase meets the end user. It’s an accessible interface that gives people the power to automate the web without needing to write code, opening up capabilities that were once only for developers. What you’ll do

• Build and grow Director, product that allows non technical users to automate the web.

• Work across the stack to create seamless, intuitive user experiences backed by robust systems.

• Prototype, test, and iterate quickly on new product ideas and workflows.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to shape how people use AI to interact with the web.

• Help define, scope, and review key projects; prioritize roadmap objectives; and sequence our deliverables.

• Document as you go and share your knowledge with the team.

Technical skills

• Strong full-stack engineering skills (TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar).

• Experience building consumer-facing products or developer tools with great UX.

• Comfort working in AI/ML-powered applications (LLMs, agents, or related tooling).

• A strong product sense and design intuition — you care about usability, polish, and user delight, not just functionality.

• Are excited to work 5 days a week in our San Francisco HQ (or open to relocating here).
