Job Title: CNC Setup Technician

Location: Los Alamitos, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $25/hr - $30/hr

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setup Technician to join our precision machining team. This role is essential to ensuring that CNC mills and lathes are properly configured for production runs, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing and a deep understanding of CNC setup procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills and lathes based on engineering drawings and job specifications

• Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance

• Load and verify CNC programs; conduct dry runs and first-article inspections

• Adjust machine parameters and offsets to meet dimensional and surface finish requirements

• Collaborate with CNC programmers and machinists to resolve setup and production issues

• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs

• Adhere to safety protocols and aerospace quality standards throughout all operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machine setup (mill and lathe)

• Familiarity with aerospace-grade materials such as titanium, aluminum, and composites

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and setup sheets

• Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and CNC machine operation

• Experience with CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens)

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
