BLS Instructor - Remote | WFH

Are you passionate about public safety and ready to make a difference? We are looking for reliable, energetic, and effective communicators to join our team as Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructors in Orange County!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to teach life-saving skills to individuals, empowering them to respond to emergencies with confidence. As a BLS Instructor, you'll lead engaging classes, guiding students through the essential skills needed to save lives. Whether in an office, school, or medical setting, your work will make a real impact on the safety and well-being of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Create a Safe Learning Environment: Ensure the safety and well-being of all class participants at all times.
Instruct and Educate: Deliver clear, high-quality BLS instruction to students of varying skill levels, making sure all materials are easy to understand.
Manage Course Logistics: Organize and set up all necessary equipment before each course and clean up after the session ends.
Teach Life-Saving Skills: Guide students through hands-on practices such as CPR, AED use, and other emergency techniques.
Respond to Emergencies: Be prepared to provide emergency care if needed, offering immediate support.
Build Relationships: Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.
Collaborate: Work closely with other instructors and management teams to ensure smooth course delivery.
Equipment Management: Maintain equipment inventory, cleanliness, and restock items as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Available to work weekends and occasional weekday evenings.
American Red Cross BLS Certification (or equivalent from the American Heart Association).
American Red Cross BLS Instructor Certification (or equivalent from the American Heart Association).
Proficient with online, web-based technology for course record management.
Access to necessary BLS training equipment, including compliant manikins, AED Trainers, BVMs, and First Aid equipment.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours during classes.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of teaching experience as an instructor.
Available to teach at least 2 weekends per month.
Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).

General Information:

This role offers the flexibility to teach additional lower-level American Red Cross courses.
Instructors will be responsible for teaching both public and private classes in various locations, including remote and onsite settings.
Part-time position with varying class durations (4-8 hours per day).

Compensation:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Independent contractor (1099)
