Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive product innovation for our Issuer Digital Products business. You will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, roadmap, execution, and optimization for Visa's new and existing digital solutions aimed at issuers.
This role requires a deep understanding of the payments industry, a strong product management background, and exceptional leadership skills. This role is based in San Francisco and will report to the Head of Product for Issuing Solutions Digital Business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create a compelling and forward-thinking product vision that aligns with Visa's overall business strategy and goals
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, development, testing, and commercialization
Work closely with engineering, design, operations, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery
Continuously monitor and optimize product performance post-launch to guide product innovation and development
Establish and manage a prioritized product backlog based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business priorities
Perform in-depth market and competitive analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
Continuously monitor competitor offerings and industry developments to ensure Visa's products remain competitive and innovative
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including leadership, product teams, and other functional areas
Engage with key clients and partners to understand their needs/expectations and secure their alignment
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees must attend the office Tuesday-Thursday. This role will be located in our Mission Rock.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years building consumer facing products
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products
- Strong expertise in defining and executing product strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans leveraging data to inform decision making and secure influence
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering and design teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization
- Experience building a high-performing product management team with a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- In-depth knowledge of market research techniques and experience in conducting customer and competitive analysis
- Strong track record of fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Deep commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs and pain points
- Experience in designing and delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across Visa functions, navigating a matrix organization
- Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of business models and profitability drivers
- Willingness to travel as required
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 185,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
