This position is in-office, with a hybrid schedule once training is complete. Each Renewal Underwriter provides vital team functions: Review accounts 45 days prior to expiration for eligibility per underwriting guidelines including review claims reports Work within Underwriting Guidelines and applicable Underwriter Letter of Authority to classify and rate an account at renewal in order to provide renewal terms Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to proceed in underwriting actions Re-rate and formulate renewal quotes for all renewal accounts assigned Receive referral approval from Renewal Management/Senior Underwriting on all accounts that are not within the Renewal Underwriter's Letter of Authority Expected to communicate any accounts that may be in jeopardy of being lost at renewal to Renewal Management Monitoring account pricing and rate at renewal to ensure that appropriate rate goals are maintained Review and provide bind order details to Underwriting Assistants for binding/issuance Complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control review on all bind orders/quotes Foster positive working relationships with wholesale brokers Foster positive working relationships with ProFinity's new business underwriting team to fully understand the renewal accounts Utilize time management abilities in a fast-paced, high volume environment, which includes organizing, multitasking and triaging account priority Responsible for endorsement requests during term of policy Review renewal account subjectivities as they are received for accuracy and acceptability Review underlying policies as they are received for accuracy and acceptability Perform other duties as may be assigned We are looking for people with: ~1-3 years of insurance related experience or equivalent bachelor's degree The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
