Engineering Manager, Machine Learning, Perception

Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager, Machine Learning, Perception for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Lead teams that architect and deliver on multiple projects with cross-functional dependencies. Lead technical design of the next generation of AI-driven Motive products. Lead product operations, product monitoring, and support to ensure Motive's AI products are reliable, robust, and scalable. Be a subject matter expert in one or more AI, ML, deep learning, or computer vision domains and provide high-level scientific and technical leadership for the Motive AI team. Partner with leadership to understand product needs, identify priorities, and drive AI/MUCV roadmap and strategy for Motive's product and platforms. Provide high-level thought leadership for the adoption of the most current and effective AI/ML technologies to Motive-relevant domains and applications. Be a highly technical as well as effective people manager, set clear expectations and goals, measure team performance and impact, and support the career growth of direct reports. Help grow the Motive AI team, attract, and onboard high-quality talent; improve best practices for interviewing; create long-term hiring strategies and retention policies to main. Increase visibility of Motive AI and help grow the team. Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field; and eight (8) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in each of the following:

Design, develop, and deploy a deep learning-based computer vision system using machine learning frameworks

Develop and deploy compute and memory-efficient AI/ML models at scale on the cloud and at the edge using mortal tools such as TFServing or Nvidia Triton

Develop and build data pipelines that can ingest, collect, and manage data from thousands of devices in the field using Python, MLFlow, and/or Airflow

Design, develop, and deploy an end-to-end machine learning system that involves training, data collection, validation, and deployment

Build and lead 10+ member high-performance AI/ML teams.

Salary: $286,000 to $373,000 per year
