Job Description

As a Senior Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth within our data platform efforts. The platform ingests and parses large volumes of data from customers, processing in batches or real-time pipelines.

We are seeking a highly technical and innovative senior engineers with a hunger to learn and think outside the box. Responsibilities:

o Hands-on technical skills are required for all roles. If you are a Sr. Software Engineer, you must be a proficient programmer bringing design, architecture and knowledge of complex software and frameworks, baking in observability and understanding distributed systems. We are also open to UI/UX, Data/AI/ML, DevOps, Cloud skillsets at the senior experience level. Each will include relevant aspects of design, hands-on coding or modeling, AWS, large scale distributed systems, etc.

o Each role will support the entire product development lifecycle leveraging your area of expertise to drive the engineering of product innovation and leverage old technology in new ways or new technologies to help our customers and make the world a safer place.

o Influence and shape the future products by contributing to the architecture / framework across multiple product lines

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• BSc/BEng/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or other relevant major, with a focus on one or more: Software Development, UI/UX, Data Science, AI/GenAI/ML, Distributed Systems, Cloud, or DevOps.

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer, Principal, Architect, or related role (i.e. Data Engineering, AI/ML, SW, UI/UX, Distributed Systems, Cloud/AWS, DevOps, et.

• Experience with relevant technologies to your area of expertise: Python, distributed systems, big data, AWS, Kuberneties, messaging or streaming with Kafka, AWS Kinesis / SQS / Flink, R, GenAI, ... etc.

• Proven track record of designing and delivering exceptional solutions for complex enterprise applications.

• A history of Innovation and thinking outside the box to create something better...not settling for the status quo... a challenger motivated to improve. Please include any experience that highlights this. How will you help us be on he cutting edge tomorrow? How have you done this in the past?

• There will be an on-call rotation for most roles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• The ideal candidate will be extremely curious, innovative and have a passion for solving the impossible while learning on the fly.

• The position will be hybrid at our Redwood City, CA HQ office. Relocation assistance is not provided. Full remote is not an option, as we value creative collaboration onsite.

Compensation Transparency

$160,000 - $200,000 USD

Please note that the annual base salary range is a guideline and, for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as, knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for benefits, and may be el igible for equity.
