About the Role
As a Junior Accountant at Olea, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Finance team by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of transactions across accounts payable, billing, and general accounting. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and has a passion for keeping financial operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Review and process vendor invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare, track, and reconcile vendor payments including checks, wires, and ACH transfers.
- Handle employee expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations.
- Create and process customer invoices, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and resolve outstanding customer balances and discrepancies.
- Reconcile cash-related balance sheet accounts and monthly bank statements.
- Assist with month-end closings and financial audits.
- Maintain accurate records and support documentation in line with company policy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support record retention and compliance efforts.

Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, exempt position
- Starting rate $75k per year
- Hybrid role, on-site three days a week at our Cerritos, California headquarters
- Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma required; additional education a plus
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems (e.g., Abas)
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
