This job is posted as HYBRID, and requires up to 3 days a week from our Irvine, CA, or Dearbon, MI office.

As part of the Ford Enterprise Technology Platforms team, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for building resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloud-native environments and adhering to industry best practices and company standards. This person will be part of a development team, serving as a technical lead and anchor to collaborate with various technical groups on designing, planning, and implementing solutions that support dealer-facing development goals.

• Help build cloud native application using the practices.

• Responsible for designing and architect cloud-based applications using first principles.

• Build an integration platform to help different enterprise SAAS applications can communicate with each other.

• Deploy and maintain applications to GCP products.

• Support the program to automate manual processes.

• Build developer efficiency tools.

• Minimum: Bachelor degree in Electrical, Computer Science Engineering or related.

• Preferred: Masters degree in Electrical, Computer Science Engineering or related.

• 1+ years of experience building cloud applications.

• Expertise using AI to help code

• Experience with AI technologies like RAG, Agent, MCP etc

• Expertise with git and version control SW like GitHub, bitbucket

• Experience with deploying on GCP cloud.

• Expertise in python and Javascript

• Experience with full stack application design and architecture

• Experience architecting cloud based microservices.

This position is a range of salary grades GSR 7-8 .
