STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR (RANGER) / COLORADO DESERT DISTRICT/ ANZA BORREGO DESERT
***This is a Peace Officer Position . To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer.
If you are not a current peace officer and in possession of a POST – Academy, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Certificate, you are not eligible for this position.

The reporting location for this position is the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park ranger office at 225 Montezuma Valley Road, Borrego Springs, CA 92004. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Superintendent III and share supervision responsibility and authority with the permanent State Park Peace Officer Supervisors (Ranger).
This position is responsible for the shared operations and patrol for 15 rangers across the District but will be based in Anza-Borrego Desert SP. We are looking for candidates with leadership and creative thinking abilities to work with a great team of park professionals in a unique and exciting environment. This supervisor will lead, plan, organize, direct and review interpretation, enforcement, safety, patrol, training and resource management projects, as well as have regular input into budgets and overall operations.
Housing may be required.
Special Requirement/Condition of Employment: Depending on the assigned location, the incumbent may be required to occupy state-owned housing to meet operational needs, or may be offered state-owned housing if available. Housing assignments will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements.

Special Requirements
