Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Building Construction Industry

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical design projects and provide technical expertise to our team. You'll review and stamp mechanical projects of varying complexities, direct design strategies for central plant systems, and offer technical leadership within the team. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting construction issues, and communicating with clients and contractors. You'll work on a wide range of multi-unit residential developments, designing systems that prioritize safety, comfort, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Professional engineering license in Ontario (P.Eng.) with 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry and at least 5 years in Canada
- Extensive design experience in multi-unit residential projects, including central plant systems and DDC control systems
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges
- Ability to organize, multitask, and work well under deadlines
