Senior Accountant (Contract – 6-7 Months, Fully Remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team on a 6-7 month contract basis . The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, advanced knowledge of NetSuite ERP , and a proven track record of operating effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Analyze accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and other business teams.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
• Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting activities when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track candidate preferred.
• Prior public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Experience working in a pre-IPO, venture-backed, or high-growth organization preferred.
• Experience supporting audit processes and SOX controls.
• Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience.
