Box Truck Driver
Achievement House is a well-established nonprofit organization with a 70-year history of serving the Central Coast. We are committed to providing services that empower and support individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their personal and professional goals.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Box Truck Driver/Warehouse Distribution Support to join our Client Services Department. In this role, you will provide essential support and training to individuals at our retail sites, assist with loading and unloading the box truck, handle customer pick-ups, and aid in thrift store distribution.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing instruction for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives that align with abilities and development.
- Execute and monitor contract requirements to ensure quality of workmanship and customer expectations are met.
- Follow internal operating procedures, including preparing documents of daily cash records, inventory records, and daily deposit of cash receipts.
- Drive the box truck, load and unload donated items, and distribute items between thrift stores to maintain store inventory.
- Work effectively with a diverse group of individuals served and adapt to the group's needs.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (driving is a requirement for this position).
- Ability to successfully pass a LiveScan background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Patience, compassion, and ability to be a role model for adults with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility with work schedules and ability to work according to the need.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items such as furniture
- Experience driving box truck preferred
- Must have basic computer/technology skills and knowledge
Compensation
The anticipated hiring range for this full-time position is $23 per hour , plus benefits and perks. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM with some flexibility as needed.
