Product Manager - Privacy and User Data

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for designing, strategizing, executing, and prioritizing initiatives that enhance user transparency and control over their data. You should be comfortable leading in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating with engineering, design, legal, data science, and consumer insights teams. You will be expected to build consensus while confidently making decisions amid ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a horizontal product strategy that ensures alignment across multiple product teams across Netflix, balancing user privacy, business objectives, and regulatory compliance.
Define and execute a roadmap focused on consumer-facing data collection, consent collection, privacy controls, and related privacy considerations across all platforms.
Drive experimentation-based approaches to optimize data coverage, improve consent experiences, and enhance user trust.
Author strategy memos and presentations, representing your team's work to senior executives.
Collaborate with engineering, design, consumer insights, data science teams, and legal to build highly impactful products.
Use qualitative and quantitative data to continuously iterate and refine the user experience.
What You Bring:
Proven experience developing consumer products, with a focus on user trust, transparency, and privacy.
Experience leading products that require balancing consumer, legal, and business trade-offs.
Strong familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for consumer data collection and consent.
Ability to drive experimentation and leverage data insights to optimize and grow user engagement with privacy controls.
Strong business acumen with proficiency in identifying, tracking, and acting upon key metrics.
Experience leading end-to-end product development with a relentless focus on delivering intuitive, seamless, and visually compelling user experiences.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
8+ years of product management experience.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $240,000-$725,000.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
